Howdy Ya'll

Things here are okay. The kids only have 6 1/2 days of school left!!!! I have 2 weeks....then it is summer fun, well maybe a little fun!

There really is nothing too new to discuss really. Claud got a call back from the Dr. office and they have decided to try and get him in for an MRI on his shoulder. I am hopeful this will lead us somewhere, as he is still in so much pain all the time. I don't want him to live the rest of his life this way.

I can't believe it but in a month Dillion will be 6 years old...OMG how times flies when you are having fun!

The kids and Claud took part in the parade on Memorial Day....ever seen a 30 year old man on a 110cc quad pulling a trailer full of kids....it looks a lot like this...and is kinda funny

Hope this picture has brightened your day...I know it did mine when I received it from a friend today!

Just a quick update on us

It has been a while since I updated...sorry about that. Things are going ok for us at this point. The kids are ready to be out of school for the summer and I have 5 more weeks to go before I am finished for summer.
I am trying to pass all my classes this term, and that is about all I can do. The anatomy class is kicking my butt. I think the problem is I am not getting enough study time. By the time I can sit down in quiet and study I am so tired I can't focus. I am just doing the best that I can do at this point.
The kids are doing well, I just recieved their school pictures and they are so cute! This week is charter school week for the boys so they have been having all kinds of fun daily activities. Today is their music program, and they have a 60's theme. Yesterday they got to go skating...the really cool part was CJ & Dillion were on the same field trip...which Dillion loved, had his big brother to help him skate!
Savannah is doing well too. She talks non-stop and moves non-stop. She keeps us on our toes that's for sure.
I just can't believe that in one month Dillion will be 6...and in 2 months CJ will be 8...wow time sure flies with these kiddos!

Claud had a Dr. appt yesterday about his shoulder. This time he saw a specialist, who actually knew what he was talking about. He seems to think Claud tore his rotator cuff and may have a pinched nerve to go with it. He gave him a Cortizone injection, and basically that was all that can be done. At this point in time, Claud is self employed and I am unemployed, so he has no insurance...so any further things that could be done are way out of reach for us. Which is unfair but it is the way the world works.

Other than that we are all fine and well. Hope you all are too!

Updates from Monday

Well yesterday was not a great day for me, I was just in *itch mode I guess! Today is looking to turn out better at least slightly! We have found out a little more about the thing I am stressing over so much, but will know hopefully a lot more in a week or so. Hoping it all works out the way it should!

As for my turkey hunting experience they say a picture is worth a 1000 words so here ya go:

As for the words to go with it, I got this boy about 30 minutes into my hunt on opening day...made for a quick season lol. He was 24# with a 10-1/2" beard and 1" spurs. Not shabby for my 1st turkey hunt, and shockingly it was a 1 shot -1 kill thing for me! He fell as soon as he was hit, which made me feel all that much better!

As for Claud's shoulder we went to the Dr. yesterday and were referred to their other office to be seen by their orthopedic person...so now we wait until May 5th to know more. He is still working, although he shouldn't but we have no other option. The Dr. yesterday looked at him and said "whoa!" seems to be the normal reaction anymore. I am just hoping for the best.

Well hope you all have a great week! I have to study a bit...or nap with Savannah not sure what I am going to do yet :)

Going Hunting Again.....

It is a rainy Monday morning here! I am going to be out turkey hunting in an hour or so, not really looking forward to sitting in the rain (in a pop-up) but I am sure I will live.
This is the first time I have ever tried turkey hunting, I am only a little excited about it...I much prefer deer hunting. But we shall see how this goes I may change my mind by the end of the day who knows?
In other news by tomorrow Claud and I will hear something that may be life changing for us. At this point I'd rather not say what that something is but I can say that it will be a positive thing for our family and especially for our children. It is also something I didn't think was going to happen this soon but somehow has.
Also tomorrow Claud goes to the Dr. about his shoulder...hoping for good news on it!
Well I hope you all have a good day!

Party Day

Hey everyone hope you are all great this morning! It is party day for me! Which also means it is cleaning day ughhh. I like having these little get togethers and I really enjoy having people at my house but I do not enjoy the cleaning that goes along with it....mainly because I am a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning before people come...lol

I attended my basic anatomy class last night....yep it scared me! There is so much to know, and I have to actually know it not just memorize it. This may end up being a two time test...who knows? I am going to give it all I have and see what happens I guess!

The boys are enjoying their spring break, they have been counting how many days they have until the have to go back to school! Each day they say "5 more days" etc.
It's ok they don't know it but I am counting too! :)

Well have a wonderful day!

Oh man

How is everyone doing today? Hopefully you are all well on this snowy Tuesday morning. I am doing ok, just planning to spend the day cleaning house in preparation for my party on Thursday night.
On another note Claud is not doing as well. He ended up at urgent care on Sunday, he has been having a lot of pain for a week in his shoulder and up his neck. The doctor at urgent care seemed to think he has torn his rotator cuff. Which is bad...yes those were the doctors exact words...which I found slightly funny, just because I have never had a doctor say "that's bad" before.
We are going tomorrow to his new dr. to fill out paperwork and hopefully the following week he can be seen. At this point there isn't a whole lot that he can do. He is at work today but he really can't lift anything and he can't put his arms above his head. Too many years of the work he does has finally caught up to him I suppose. At this point we are hoping the other dr will find it is just a pinched nerve or something...but it doesn't look promising. Although with physical therapy he should be able to get back to a usable state with it.
Well I am off to clean and do some laundry!

My week has been great!

How is everyone this week? I am great, I have been enjoying time at home and not having to be at school everyday!
I have managed to get some cleaning done, it isn't all done yet...but it is getting closer. I hope to work on it a little more this weekend also.
Other than my cleaning I have been working hard on my lia sophia business stuff. I have been looking over all the information on their website and I got my kit in this week! Which means I have a lot of pretty pieces of jewerly for my display.

Also this week I have gotten another party booked. I am going tonight to go over the hostess packet with the hostess and set the date! Which brings me up to 3 parties so far! My goal is to book 6 of them, but we will see what happens. I am very excited to be starting this new venture. For those of you that are reading this and know me personally, I will be sending out letters in the mail in a few weeks to introduce this new venture and explain the benefits of hosting a party for me. I hope you will consider helping me get my new business off the ground.

Another thing is I have all my final grades for winter quarter.
Med. Term C
Pre-Algebra B-
Oral Comm. C+

Not the wonderful grades I had last term, but to be honest I was just thrilled to pass this term!

Something else that was exciting this week is yesterday my loving and way to good for me husband traded in 2 of his guns so that I could have a bow. It is really nice. I orginally was looking at a compound bow in pink(shocker there huh?) but after we got there and there was no pink bow that was left handed I decided the color didn't really matter. I managed to find a nice Browning bow, I also found out that I am a pretty decent archer! This was the first time I had shot a compound bow, I have used a recurve in the past but I tell you they are nothing alike...the compound is much easier for me!
But alas, it is much like a gun...I am good at shooting at a target, not sure about shooting a real live deer with it. They move and make my nerves go crazy:)

Well I think that is all the excitement I have for this week..I must go do some picking up now. Have a great day!
